The red carpet was rolled out at Emperors Palace on Monday evening for the 2016 Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL) Awards.

The players and their partners were joined by celebrities,club coaches, fans and soccer legends in posing for photos upon arrival at the Palace.

However, it was Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Kama Billiat who dominated the podium, picking up three awards for Footballer of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and the Absa Premiership’s Midfielder of the Season.

Billiat’s teammates Thabo Nthethe was named Telkom Knockout Player of the Tournament and best Defender of the Season and Dennis Onyango was voted Absa Premiership Goalkeeper, while Pitso Mosimane picked up the Coach of the Year award.

He took total prize money of R450 000 (R250 000 for Footballer of the Season, R150 000 for Absa Premiership Player’s Player of the Season and R50 000 for Absa Premiership Midfielder of the Season).
