As part of the legacy programme for the NBA Africa Game to be held this weekend, BNL has rescheduled the games which were to be held on week 8 the 21 August 2015 to the held this Friday the 31 July 2015. Gates will open at 15:00 and the 1st game will start at 17:00
| 17:00 | North West Eagles | Vs | Soweto Panthers |
| 20:00 | Tshwane Suns | Vs | Egoli Magic |
The NBA will be bringing their dignitaries as well as the players that will be participating at the NBA Africa Game to Wembley on this day to witness 2 match-ups that will have some great significance going into the 2nd half of the season.
The Eagles and Panthers are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive when they lock horns after their recent losses. Though the Panthers may look more dominant of the 2 on paper, there is absolutely no doubt that the Eagles’ relentless attack and presence in the paint will have to be on point on the day.
The 2nd game is the battle for Gauteng. The defending Champions Tshwane Suns and Egoli Magic are 2 of the hottest teams the league; both are currently unbeaten and are looking set to be on a collision course to meet in the very last game of the season. The Magic have been looking more dangerous with Nkosinathi Festile and Jose Salvador leading from guard, and Captain Lesego Molebatsi, Thabang Kgwedi and Jonathan van der Bijl patrolling the paint. The Suns are on a quest to leave no doubt about what they are capable of, this will definitely be another opportunity to them to once again re-define the meaning of “defending champions”; will they be able to defend their unbeaten record? Neo Mothiba and Larry Jackson jnr are expected to lead from the front with the likes of Tich Mabiza, Somusa Mthembu and Tshepo Matsie following suit to add to the intensity on both ends. Coaches Flosh Ngwenya and George Makena are great tacticians and basketball fans can expect fireworks from start to finish!!
This is not to be missed!! Who will be left standing when the dust settles? Will the sun’s heat be enough to set fire on Egoli? Or will the magicians have enough tricks up their sleeves to make Tshwane’s streak disappear?
Game ON!!!
