FXP_LogoThe recent spate of xenophobic attacks in South Africa has made headlines for the wrong reasons and as a bank ABSA, has decided to publicly condemn the violence by utilizing the Absa Premiership Trophy Tour and firmly stating that we are #ProudlyAfrican Social Media tags: #ProudlyAfrican and #NoToXenophobia

As a business which operates across the continent, we noted the escalation of the recent xenophobic attacks across South Africa with great sadness and concern. We strongly condemn the related criminality and violence.

There is simply no place in our society for xenophobic behaviour and we have therefore joined with the rest of the banking and business community to denounce it.

On the 9th of May 2015 Absa will crown the new Absa Premiership Champions, Kaizer Chiefs, following their match with Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
